The championships are being hosted by Somerville House (www.somerville.qld.edu.au), an independent girls school at Graham St, South Brisbane, 2 km from the city centre and a short stroll from South Bank Parklands, Grey Street Boulevard and other attractions (see the Getting Around page for more detail).
While the school dates back to 1899 as the Brisbane High School for Girls, the playing venue is the auditorium on Level
5 of the new Valmai Pidgeon Performing Arts Complex in Graham St.
