Arbiter

A Senior member of the Bundaberg Chess Club Incorporated who will not be playing in the Tournament. Any decisions of the Director of Play/Arbiter are final.

Divisions

There will be two divisions, one for Adults and one for Children, if there are sufficient nominations in each division. All nomination fees received will be used for prize money!!

Sponsors

Prizes will be decided on the Saturday Morning when the number of entrants are known

The Parkway Motel in John Street and the Carrier’s Arms Hotel/Motel are close to the Tournament venue

Entries close

Entries close at 8.45 am on the day.
Registrations 8 am to 8.45 am on the Saturday.
However email advice to menhamat@hotmail.com by the Friday Night before the tournament would be appreciated if you are planning to attend. This will ensure that adequate sets and clocks are available for the tournament.

Lunch Break

There will be a lunch break

Half Point Bye

A half point bye will be allowed for any one game if a competitor does not want to play eight games in one day and the bye is approved by the Director of Play

Ratings

Current ACF “normal/classical” rating list will be used for all players. If a player does not have an ACF Rating, their QJ or FIDE rating will be used.

The Event is not Australian Chess Federation rated and not QJ rated

Food

Please note that there are food outlets available near the venue so competitors need not bring their own lunches, although bringing own lunches is advisable.

CAQ Membership

It is not essential for entrants to be members of the Chess Association of Queensland Inc to participate in this tournament

Clocks/Recording of Moves

Clocks will be used for the tournament. No recording of moves is necessary
