Session times All games start at 12.00 noon
Time controls 40 moves in 80 minutes plus one minute per move, then game in 40 minutes plus one minute per move

Players rated over 2000 (June 2009) free
All Queensland players must be financial CAQ members - list of financial members here. Non-members add $10 annual subscription, or join online here

Format/Conditions

Nine round Swiss tournament
Players may take not more than two half-point byes in any of the first seven rounds
Seedings

1st 2008 Queensland Championship
1st 2008 Queensland Minor Championship
1st 2009 Queensland Junior Championship

Note: Seeded players must comply with entry conditions
Unseeded entrants must be rated 1700+ (June 2009)
Entrants must have played at least seven ACF-rated games in CAQ-approved open tournaments since 1 July 2008
Any tie for first will be broken by playoff
Forfeit time for late arrivals is 30 minutes after the start of each session
